The Private Uyuni Experience

Aywayk designs private Uyuni salt flat journeys for travelers who value silence, timing, and precision. Unlike shared departures, every experience is curated around you from sunrise reflections on the salt flats to carefully paced exploration across the Andean highlands. Your vehicle, your guide, your rhythm.

Our approach combines local expertise with a refined operational structure: dedicated 4x4 transport, trusted drivers, seamless flight coordination from La Paz when required, and thoughtfully selected accommodations across Uyuni and South Lipez. Timing is never rushed. Stops are never dictated by group consensus. Photography moments unfold naturally.

Whether you choose a one-day private escape across the mirror-like expanse of the Salar or extend into the dramatic lagoons and deserts of South Lipez, each itinerary is designed as a bespoke journey, discreet, flexible, and intentionally premium.

Why Private

  • Complete timing flexibility
Arrive before the crowds, wait for perfect reflections, and adjust the day according to light, weather, and personal rhythm.
  • Dedicated vehicle and guide
Your own 4x4 and trusted local guide ensure privacy, discretion, and uninterrupted exploration.
  • Unhurried photography moments
Sunrise, sunset, and mirror-effect conditions are experienced without group constraints or fixed departure schedules.
  • Comfort-first logistics
Carefully planned routes, smooth coordination from La Paz if required, and thoughtfully selected accommodations across Uyuni and South Lipez.
  • Personalized pacing at altitude
Travel at a rhythm that respects acclimatization and energy levels, especially when extending into South Lipez’s high desert landscapes.
  • Curated South Lipez extension
Continue beyond the salt flats into a dramatic world of colored lagoons, flamingos, and volcanic horizons — privately and seamlessly.

How we operate

  • Private execution only.
Your vehicle and schedule are reserved for your party.
  • Vehicles used:
Nissan Patrol or Toyota Land Cruiser only.
  • Capacity rule:
maximum 4 travelers per vehicle (+ driver + guide).
  • Larger groups:
coordinated multi-vehicle expeditions (commonly up to 12 online, more on custom planning).
  • Guiding & on-ground coordination:
handled with established local partners and tested routes.

Accomodation standards

In the more remote South Lipez area, we use hand-picked eco-lodges with heating, hot showers, and reliable meals.

No hostels. No shelters.

In the Uyuni region, accommodation is centered around salt hotels (from eco-lodge style to high-end salt hotels), selected for consistency and comfort.
